Youth With A Mission (YWAM) is a global missions movement that began in 1960 with one simple vision — to know God and make Him known. YWAM Rotterdam, located in the Netherlands, is part of this worldwide family. We are passionate about seeing lives transformed through fulltime training schools and evangelism — from the area of Rotterdam to the ends of the earth!

A unique experience

Our training schools are held in unique locations. For this year we could rent a monumental farm 10 minutes from the city by metro!

Learning and living out

Wherever we stay, we always make the connection with the city of Rotterdam. In Rotterdam, you’ll discover a dynamic city rich in cultural diversity and offering numerous opportunities for urban-focused mission projects. After all, Rotterdam is the second-largest city in the Netherlands and remains the largest harbour in Europe. For each school God provides the right accomodation for that special season where you can learn more about Him, while practicing making Him known.

What we offer

Discipleship Training School

Our Discipleship Training School (DTS) is a 6-month journey designed to help you know God more personally and make Him known to others. It’s a time set apart to grow in your relationship with Jesus and experience what it means to live a life fully surrendered to Him. During the 3-month lecture phase, you’ll learn from inspiring speakers on various super interesting topics, such as hearing God’s voice and identity. After the lecture phase, you take what you’ve learned into a 10–12 week Outreach Phase in another nation—seeing God move through you in powerful ways. Our next DTS starts September 21 2026. YWAM Connect

During our YWAM Connect evenings, you’ll meet others who have also completed a DTS. We gather around a meal and take time to get to know each other better. There isn’t a fixed program, but there’s always space to listen, pray for one another, and encourage each other. Let us know if you’d like to join sometime! Please note: these evenings only take place when there is no training school running.

Community Nights

YWAM Rotterdam invites you to join our weekly Community Nights in Ouddorp whenever a DTS is running. These evenings are all about connecting with God, connecting with each other, and being inspired to surrender your life to Jesus. These evenings are open to everyone in the area – people of all ages and backgrounds. So you are warmly welcome to come, participate, and experience community together!

City Impact

Every Friday afternoon, we head to the streets in the south of Rotterdam to meet people, talk about faith, and offer prayer. Most people are open to it, and we often see God touch lives and even perform miracles. Do you want to join us?

We love hosting Youth with a Mission outreach teams! There are plenty of opportunities for DTS students to teach, preach, and share their testimonies. We refer to these outreach weeks as Revive Rotterdam. Every team makes a significant impact! Check out more and contact us, we’ll guide you through everything, answer all your questions and organise for you as much as you like.

Discipleship Bible School 

The Discipleship Bible School (DBS) is a 3-month course designed to help you dive deep into God’s Word and discover His heart from Genesis to Revelation. It’s the perfect next step after completing a Discipleship Training School (DTS) — a time to grow even deeper in understanding His ways. Throughout the DBS, you’ll read the entire Bible, explore the historical context of each book, and learn how the stories connect to reveal God’s redemptive plan for humanity. As you study, you’ll see how Scripture transforms your life.
